The Placencia Breeze is produced and edited by the Placencia Tourism Center Elysia Dial & James Cleve Westby and then transferred to internet by James Cleve Westby.

The purpose of the Tourist Center is two-fold:   helping visitors to our area in fully enjoying their southern Belize vacations, and providing support for local businesses.

The Tourism Center is funded in part by advertising in our print and on-line versions of the Placencia Breeze, as well as donations from the Belize Tourism Board, a national Belize governmental agency, the Placencia BTIA, area businesses and friends. We also have our sister site www.placencia.com where you can do all your travel arrangements before you even get to Placencia!

CONTACTING US

Because we serve the entire tourism community on the Placencia Peninsula, we cannot recommend specific businesses, hotels, guide services, tour operators, etc.  Therefore, we ask that you visit our Directory and send requests for information on lodging, tours and services directly to local businesses.

However, if you have a general question about the Placencia area, or if you need special assistance or information while you're in the area, we'll be glad to help.  You can email us at placencia@btl.net or tourism@placencia.com,  telephone us at 011-501-523-4045 (from outside the country) or 523-4045 (from inside Belize).   And, of course, you're always welcome to stop by our offices at the Placencia gas dock on Monday - Friday 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
