Placencia Lobsterfest T-Shirts On Sale Soon

The Placencia Tourism Center is very excited to announce that this year’s Placencia Lobsterfest shirts will be on sale in the very near future. The design for this year, shown left, was the winning piece in the art competition that was held during the 3rd annual Placencia Peninsula Arts Association Side Walk Festival in February. The entries, there were 13 in all, were voted on by the public and the Go-Graphics entry was the winner.
The PTC opened up sponsorship for the t-shirt and in turn the Placencia Lobsterfest weekend’s two day Saltwater Fishing Tournament in early March and we are very excited to announce the sponsors for this year. This year’s sponsors are Wallen’s Market Ltd, Mariposa Beach Suites, Scotiabank Ltd. The Garden Brew Coffee House, The Placencia Hotel and Residences, Seaspray Hotel, The Inn at Robert’s Grove, Chabil Mar Villas, The Moorings Belize, Tipsy Tuna Sports Bar, Purple Space Monkey Restaurant & Bar, Seahorse Dive Shop, Maya Beach Hotel, Calico Jack’s Village, Wendy’s Restaurant & Bar, Turtle Inn, Rum Point Inn, Nautical Inn, Serenity Beach Resort, and The Boson’s Chair Internet Café. Yearwood Properties and Ranguana Lodge are the winners of the silent auction on the sleeve positions for this year. Congratulations to all who have joined in the sponsorship of this years event.

For approximately four hours residents of Placencia Village fought to finally control the fire by means of hoses and bucket lines. Surrounding buildings were wet down repeatedly in hopes of controlling the blaze and preventing its spread. Continue»
