general meeting of the year on Friday February 24th, 2006, at the
Tipsy Tuna Sports Bar. Special guests at the meeting were Mrs. Lucy
Fleming, President of the Belize Tourism Industry Association;

The Placencia Peninsula
Arts Association held the 3rd
Annual
Placencia Sidewalk Arts Festival on February 11/12 and great music,
excellent food and an array of fabulous art was the theme for the
weekend.
Mother Nature shined upon us Saturday and Sunday for 2 glorious sunny
days whilst locals and tourists alike combed the famous Placencia
Sidewalk looking for that “special something” (or 2 or 3 or 4….).

- Rum Point Inn: Well it is
Whale Shark Season again and they are out there early this year.
For those of you and your guests that have not been one of the
lucky few to see these magnificent creatures, we will be showing
a National Geographic DVD on the Whale Sharks in Belize.
Drink specials and free appetizers start at 5:30 pm. Movie
starts at 6:00 sharp. We look forward to seeing this evening,

Visit: To Facilitate boat owners who have not yet registered
and license thier vessel (s) in the Placencia area and to limit
the traveling of Port State Control Officers to and from various
Ports of Registry the Authority had decided to send out a team
to Placencia over the period 27th, 28th & 29th March, 2006
