Special Tourism Licensing Meeting

          A special tourism related licensing meeting was held on Thursday November 17th in Placencia Village with guest speakers Anthony Mahler from the Belize Tourism Board and Ian Anderson representing the Belize National Tour Operators’ Association.  Other invited guests that were unable to attend were Phillip “Billy” Leslie from the Belize National Tour Guide Association and representatives from Belize Port Authority.

First District Governor's Visit For The Rotary Club of Placencia Luncheon - The Crow's Nest Cafe, Bar & Grill - November 14, 2005

          Belize, Guatemala & Honduras Rotary Clubs are governed by the District 4250 of Rotary International.  Every year an election is held for the post of District Governor. Last year the District governor was one of our Belizean members - Past District Governor, Mr. Salvador (Junior) Espat from Belize City Rotary Club. This year, Mr. Hector Guillen from the Rotary Club of San Pedro Sula, Honduras, was elected District Governor of District 4250 and one of his many roles as District Governor is to visit all the clubs within his district.
