Dalton and Consuelo Eiley and family wish to thank everyone that came out and supported the fundraiser held on Sunday October 4, 2009 on behalf of their son, 8 year old Adrian. Adrian has to travel to the US in just a few weeks for another in a series of operations in order to allow him to walk properly and painlessly. The day included football games all day long, good music, a wide variety of food, and a raffle for a large washing machine. The draw for the washing machine took place around 9 pm with the winning number of 87 belonging to Stafford Eiley. Mr. Eiley decided to share his luck by donating a portion of the prize to St. John’s PTA and another portion back to the family to assist with their fundraising goal.
Many people contributed their time into making this day a success including the many cooks and servers that provided the delicious food that was available, the bartenders, Entourage Movements for keeping the crowd lively with announcements and great music, the football teams that came from all over to play throughout the day and keep the crowd entertained, the Rejects for performing and getting everyone in the dancing spirit for the duration of the night, Wallen’s Market who never hesitate in lending a hand, the Placencia Coop for help with ice, Belikin & Stann Creek Distributors for the tents, the Placencia Village Council, and of course everyone that spent the day supporting the cause.
