Beauty Tips By Ysela....

HAIR REMOVER - BODY SUGARING - contributed by Ysela

What you’ll need
Juice of 1/2 a lemon
1 cup sugar
1/4 cup honey

What You’ll Do With It
Dust the area to be waxed, with cornstarch. Combine the first three ingredients in a clean glass bowl, and microwave for two minutes. Stop and stir your sugar mixture every 20-30 seconds. Let it cool to a comfortable warmth, and, using a wooden stick, spread a very thin layer onto your clean skin. Immediately cover the mixture with a strip of cotton fabric. Briskly stroke the strip several times in the direction of the hair growth, and then, pull the skin taut, and quickly rip away the cotton strip, against the direction of hair growth. As you proceed, you may need to reheat your sugar mixture in the microwave to keep it warm. Do not boil it or overheat as you could easily burn your skin.

From a Breeze reader………. Dear Breeze, I found Ysela’s Beauty Tips on your online May Issue of the Breeze. I made her “Soothing Banana Face Mask for Oily Skin” and to my amazement it worked pretty well. But after making and using I had some of the mixture left... and I was wondering (my question to Ysela)... Can I refrigerate this for further use or do I disregard the remainder? I of course disregarded the remainder I was not sure if I could keep and refrigerate it.
Thank you, The Diva Within

Dear Diva,
I'm happy you tried the facial and liked it. Definitely discard remainder of banana mask. Bananas turn dark after a few hours, even refrigerated. Now you know what quantity you need- make only a small amount- or share with a girlfriend.
