Placencia Lobsterfest Cook-off: Three Terrific Winning Entries!
A hot, sunny, sticky weekend is not the best setting for a cooking contest when you are working over a hot grill answering the needs of all the hungry visitors at your booth, but that is what our cook-off contestants managed to do on Lobsterfest Sunday!
Wendy Lemus of Wendy’s Restaurant was the $100 First Prize contributing sponsor of the contest, and that prize went hands down to Omar’s Kitchen’s Chef Omar and his amazing stuffed whole lobster!
Second Prize of $50 went to Tricia Hernandez and her Lobster Tail with Pasta Surrounds.
The third prize Special Mention was awarded to San Ignacio’s Yoli’s Lobster Pizza, which disappeared before the announcer finished saying “Anyone is welcome to come up and taste the entries!” after judging was completed.
