The long awaited paving of the Placencia Peninsula is finally underway and
is moving at a rapid pace.
Currently the paving of the road from
just south of Serenity Resort up to the north end of Seine Bight is complete,
making drive time from Placencia to Seine Bight Village just about ten minutes
long and that is not at breakneck speed, thank you very much.
Of course the section near Cocoplum
all the way up to the southern part of Maya Beach is also smoothly paved. Seems
as if the next portion of the paving will be taking place near the airstrip. With
CISCO hard at work prepping areas for paving, many of the sections of the road
are in excellent shape and makes a drive onto and along the peninsula an easy
thing to do.
Check it out for yourself the weekend of
June 26, 27 & 28 for Placencia Lobsterfest 2009!
