AMAZING MATH: The Golden Mean
Also known as the golden rectangle, many artists and architects have proportioned
their works to approximate the form of the golden mean, which has always
been considered aesthetically pleasing.
A distinctive feature of this shape is that when a square section is removed, the remainder is another golden rectangle; that is, with the same proportions as the first.
Also within this shape, when a compass center point is set on the corner of the square, continuing to the next square, a Golden Spiral is formed, a shape repeated in Nature in many forms, one of which is the common Conch!
