WWF Eco Friendly Poster Contest
World Wildlife Fund (WWF) has an active program in Belize geared towards promotion of activities designed to conserve mangrove habitats, and identification of resilient zones. Projects have engaged
in mangrove replanting and informational workshops that illustrate the links between climate change and mangrove conservation, and a contest designed to identify mangrove-friendly development design strategies. These projects have aid the raising of awareness on the need for mangrove conservation and created visible sites within communities where mangrove re-planting and education has begun. To further this cause along the Placencia Peninsula, WWF sponsored a mangrove art contest to help sensitize school youths and communities of the Placencia Peninsula on the importance of mangroves and need for their conservation. Based on the entries, we have been able to select 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners. The winners are: Claudia Hernandez of Trio Village (1st place), Jennifer Ortiz of Independence (2nd place) and AB Ortega of Placencia Village (3rd place). Winners will be awarded a small cash prize.
Please advise on cost.
Thanks
