Just a progress report about the children's artwork calendars and the money that we raised. Earlier this month the kids handed over a check for $1200 to Mr Griffth. This was the money that we raised with their artwork, and by raffling some donated rings. Then we went to the pre-school, with Ana, Carlos, Eli, Ashley and Charles to give a check of $500, which they raised by a silent auction of their artwork. With special thanks to Ana for donating so many pieces. It's great to see the older kids helping the younger ones. As soon as the festival was over, I already had kids asking when the next workshop was. Anyone having time on their hands even while visiting can go to the school, and do artwork, either at the school, or after school. Any materials, or funds can be sent to Principal Griffith at St John's Memorial School, or to Head Teacher of the Pre-school, Ms Carla Ramclam at St. John's Memorial Pre-school, Placencia, Stann Creek District, Belize. Please label all packages educational supplies, as otherwise there is a large duty to be paid.
