PLACENCIA VILLAGE COUNCIL ELECTIONS DATE: APRIL 18TH 2010, TO BE HELD AT THE PLACENCIA COMMUNITY CENTER!!!!!!!

Public meeting to be held concerning upcoming Village Council elections. The Meeting will be held on Saturday March 20th, at 6:00 pm at The Placencia Village Community Center.

Placencia Village Council upcoming Public Meetings are scheduled for the following dates; Wednesday, March 31st 2010 starting at 6:00 pm and April 8th 2010 at 6:00 pm both meetings to be held at The Placencia Basketball Court.

UPDATE
Placencia Village By-laws (final- stage) to be completed in one month.
Sustainable Tourism Project for Placencia /Main Pier & Plaza, presently in feasibility study phase. Moving forward; Projected cost -$1.3 M. U.S.
Red Moon land sale $400,000.00 BZE with Placencia Village Council completed.
Placencia road upgrade. Moving forward;
Crimson Park Development (190 Lots) Phase 1 of 3 land fill completed. Phase 2 land fill development currently under way.
$25, 000.00 released by the Placencia Lots Committee /Village Council to St. John’s Memorial Anglican School towards completion of 2nd floor classrooms. Construction currently underway.
Moving forward on the Placencia Street Signs project urging all Villagers to use their street/walkway name for address. House number system to be implemented shortly.
Village’s main Sidewalk repairs in progress.
Tall Fence being erected at the Placencia Airstrip to preserve Placencia Sanitation Company’s equipments and improve appearance of area.
Cleanup campaign for Easter Weekend underway.
Easter weekend events: Two concerts/International Artists (Movado & Jah Cure).
