S.O.S!! Save Our Sidewalk!

The Placencia Sidewalk was formerly known as the “World’s Narrowest Main Street”
in the Guinness Book of World Records. What was once a busy path for locals and tourists is now
empty and abandoned.

With new businesses popping up along the road and more and more people renting golf carts and cars,
less people are taking that scenic walk through our quaint village. The Placencia BTIA board members
would like to see the sidewalk come alive again, so we have formed a sidewalk committee.

We are excited about this new project and have many ideas to revive what was once a busy and popular
visit through our village. The first phase of our project issignage making everyone aware that there is even
a sidewalk through our village. Located on the sidewalk are several hotels, restaurants, bars, gift shops
and guest houses amongst other great businesses to visit.

It runs parallel to the ocean and it’s a great opportunity to get beautiful photos of one’s visit to Placencia.
