A Night to Remember - 10th PTC Mistletoe Ball
The ladies looked elegant, the men were dapper, the food was delicious, as always the band was fabulous and at exactly midnight the December sky was alit with spectacular fireworks… yes of course we are talking about the Mistletoe Ball.
Once again the Placencia Tourism Center’s Mistletoe Ball was a smashing success with more than 450 people in attendance for a night of dancing, dining, socializing and bringing in the spirit of the holiday season. Bella Maya Resort pulled out all the stops decking the halls with decorations and even rolling out the red carpet for the party goers.
As always Muzamanzie Photographs went the extra mile to have a cozy, holiday photo stage for everyone to have their photos taken. Photos from the night can be ordered at the Tourism Center.
As mentioned before the 10th anniversary of the Mistletoe Ball was celebrated at midnight with fireworks - a first for the Ball. Later in the night the King and Queen of the Ball were announced and the raffle for prizes were drawn but not announced until later the following week, after all everyone was having so much fun that we didn’t want to throw off their groove. The Mistletoe Ball is just one of the events that has become near and dear to Placencia Peninsula community that has been developed by the Placencia Tourism Center as a fundraiser. Continued support from the Belize Tourism Board, our Placencia BTIA members, other community business owners, the people that volunteer their time to make it all come together and of course everyone that makes that special effort to look their very best makes the Mistletoe Ball the most talked about night before and long after the fun has ended. Seems as if everyone had a blast this year and are already thinking ahead the December 11, 2010 for the 11th annual Mistletoe Ball! We’ll see you there!
