Dancing Tree, and Santa Big Red Sleigh
Second Annual Christmas Parade
Eyes lit up the length of the village. The second Annual Placencia Village Christmas Parade was a rousing success, with three vehicles participating on this year’s Christmas Eve Parade, including the new fire truck. The parade again organized by Mr. Jose Fuentes amused and entertained villagers and visitor alike, with wailing sirens, music, the second appearance of the dancing Christmas Tree. Two Santa’s, and festively gowned Christmas ladies, dispensing goodies to the kids, of all age.
The parade staged at the Placencia Water Tower, and proceeded down the length of the village to the road’s end, at Placencia Point. The occasional blast of the new fire truck siren, and the loud horn and flashing lights, hailed boys and girls from all over the village to come to the road, where bags of candy, cookie, balloon and water were handed ou t by Santa and the Tree’s, happy princesses and helpers.
Mr. Fuentes worked tirelessly securing donations, organizing; packaging treats for the kids’, making decorations, building and decorating the dancing tree and decorating the floats.
The parade offered an opportunity to introduce the community to the new fire truck, which carried two Santa’s look alike’s. Mr Fuentes thank’s all the donors, and volunteers, who helped made this second annual event successful.
